    Both Andy and Ben own one of these laptops – rated by many review sites as the best video editing laptop on the market for spec. The 4k screen is essential for producing high resolution graphics capable of being played in a video on the audience’s modern monitors and TVs, while the processing spec is just high enough to comfortably run powerful video editing softwares such as Power Director and Adobe Premiere Pro.

    Canon EOS 800D Digital SLR Camera and EF-S 18-55mm f/4.5.6 IS STM lens – black

    This little Canon video camera has all the firepower we need to shoot a high res video, as well as crystal clear still shots – handheld size, we mount it on a tripod and attach a Rode Videomic to the top (see below). With wifi and bluetooth capabilities, we link to a smartphone which we use as our remote control using a free Canon app.

    Rode VIDEOMICPRO | On Camera Microphone

    This microphone mounts onto the top of the Canon EOS 800D with its universal screw fitting, for easy attach and remove. A very sensitive mic, this piece of kit easily picks up our voices from across the room and gives the crystal clarity of sound you hear in the MU videos. Just make sure there are no ticking clocks in the background!
